FAçade Improvement Projects: Success stories

The Façade and Landscape Improvement Program’s (FLIP) goal is to encourage investment and revitalization of the commercial buildings located in Parker’s three Urban Renewal Areas.

An attractive aesthetic is vital to the success of any commercial or business area. Façade and landscape improvements are among the most effective ways to enhance the appearance and economic vitality of a commercial property. P3’s FLIP Program is a reimbursement grant program available for commercial buildings located in Parker’s three Urban Renewal Areas.

Since the program was started in 2019, several businesses have taken advantage of grant funds to improve their business exterior.

DAKtronix entryway needed to be refinished. The former state of peeling paint dated the appearance.

This older building’s color dated the façade. This new, more modern color gives the building a more contemporary feel.

Parker Animal Hospital

PROJECT: NEW SIGN

“We had been wanting for some time to make some improvements to our landscaping but held off due to costs. However, due to the P3 FLIP program, the Town of Parker was able to help us out financially with those improvements and we couldn't be happier. We'll have a beautiful new look by May!”

By participating in the FLIP Program, they were able to invest in a new sign that reflects the hospital's welcoming nature.

PROJECT: NEW MONUMENT AND STOREFRONT SIGNAGE

There’s no doubt you’ve driven past The Parker Shoppes on Parker Road. But, I bet you weren’t completely aware of what type of goods they sell. With the help of the FLIP grant, not only were they able to update the front sign but also add descriptions on the building facade on the type of retail offerings you’ll find inside.

The outdoor dining experience has been improved with the purchase of new flower planters.

Wolf Chiropractic

PROJECT: LANDSCAPING & FENCING

The Wolf Chiropractic office exterior was overdue for landscaping improvements, and even though the project was a long-term investment in the business, it was still a tremendous expense for a small business to fund.
